Speaker information

So, you’ve been accepted as an XTech 2008 speaker. Congratulations! What next?

Your paper

The most important thing to think about first is your paper. The submission deadline is 22 April 2008. Read the following article to find out more.

Reach out

We’d love you to blog about your participation in XTech 2008. Please tag your articles with ‘xtech’.

Because XTech is such a diverse conference, you’re likely to know your own community of interest as well or better than we do. So, we’d be grateful for your assistance in publicising XTech 2008. Either post an announcement yourself or let us know about groups and communities who would appreciate hearing about the conference.

Send us your news

We’ll be keeping the XTech web site up to date with news about speakers, so do send us any relevant news to your XTech participation. For instance, software releases or published articles. Send these to the conference chair, Edd Dumbill or Carmel Mills.

Co-presenter registration

The primary author of a session is entitled to free conference registration. Co-presenters are entitled to a substantial discount and may register for $800 (or $600 for IDEAlliance members). Co-presenters should download the PDF form from the registration page and fax it to IDEAlliance.

Tutorial registration

A discounted rate for tutorials is available to all XTech speakers. Use the registration system to purchase the tutorials you would like, and select the IDEAlliance Member rate.

Accommodation and travel

Don’t forget to book your accommodation and travel to Dublin. We’ve posted a page containing the official hotel details.

On the day

We’ll be updating this page to include all the information you’ll need to know nearer to the time, and we’ll let you know by email when that happens.

Questions?

Feel free to contact the conference chair, Edd Dumbill.
