Call for Participation: Tutorials

Call closed 11.59pm 28 January 2008 GMT. Notifications due 22 February 2008.

Proposals for tutorials are invited for XTech 2008, Europe’s premier web technologies conference. The deadline for submitting proposals is January 25th, 2008.

XTech is seeking highly qualified instructors to lead pre-conference tutorials. All tutorials will be selected based on the merits of the topic and instructor.

Suggested topics include (but are not limited to):

  • browser technologies
  • XML-related technologies
  • web development
  • mobile development

The purpose of tutorials at XTech is to provide a task-oriented, small-group educational experience directed toward the understanding and acquisition of specific skills and methodologies.

Each tutorial may be either half-day or full-day in duration, break and lunch times included.

A complete handout for the tutorial is required.

All selected instructors will receive a free registration for the conference. Please note that this only applies to one instructor per tutorial. A discounted rate will be available for additional instructors.

In addition, all those who submit abstracts, but are not chosen for the conference program will receive a discount of $100 off their gold pass or conference registration. Registration instructions will be available on the registration form.

Attendance will range from 15-50 people in each room.

Marketing/promotional presentations will not be considered for XTech.
